With the discovery and use of electric motors in the early seventeenth century, the industry was the one that benefited most from this technology, since combustion machines were expensive. In addition to the high values, they were also difficult to transport, polluters and could not install anywhere.
Electric motors were smaller, easier to move, cleaner and as powerful as combustion. Over the years and the advancement of technology, came the various forms of motor drive, the most common: direct start; star-triangle match; compensating match; soft-starter and starter with frequency inverter.
The first starting ways are the direct connection of the motor to the mains, which can cause overload in the motors and the power grid, thus impairing the operation and service life of the motor. Thanks to industry 3.0 and all the automation developed, equipment to improve the control and protection of engines have been developed, such as soft-starter and frequency inverters.
The frequency inverter consists of an equipment that varies the frequency of the three phases simultaneously from a high frequency switch (PWM), with the purpose of controlling the rotation of the motor shaft. For all the benefits that the frequency inverter provides is that Provolt has been developing them since 1988.
Currently we work with two lines of inverters, the CFP-II and the PI's. The CFP-II is fully produced by Provolt in Brazil, while the PI is our line of imported. The great triumph of the CFP-II is its practicality, ease of programming and flexibility for various performances.
The PI, on the other hand, brings with it, in addition to the qualities of the CFP-II, the highest technology, sophistication of the market and its robustness. Having great performance, with its internal space well used to reduce as much as possible of its dimensions, which gives you a fair size for your potential capacity. It is mainly used for higher powers and/or more complex applications.
And yet, the best of the industry 4.0, its communication via Modbus, which consists of integrated communication to the network, in addition the two models have several protections, avoiding possible defects in the engine and overvoltage or overload in the acceleration or deceleration of the engine.
